The brand Formed@Diehl combines both conventional production of forged synchronizer rings made of brass as well as cold formed steel synchronizer rings. Depending on the transmission requirements, we offer customized solutions from one source.
Based on the transmission volumes, we work closely with the customer to develop economic and technically optimized concepts.

Diehl BlackLine
Diehl BlackLine stands for the high-performance carbon friction layers from Diehl. The Diehl carbon layer types DCA, DCB and DCM6 are currently in serial production.
General properties of the layers:
- Use of carbon fibers only (no plastic fibers)
- Highly heat-resistant phenolic resin bond
- Woven layer structure with high porosity
- Exceptionally high incompressibility
- Minimum setting behavior

Due to their unrivalled price-performance ratio, uncoated brass synchronizer rings with friction threads of the brand Diehl GoldLine represent the standard solution for all passenger car transmissions.
A large tried-and-tested range of alloys produced in-house are available. The continuous further development of our high-performance synchronizer ring alloys allows Diehl Metall to offer efficient solutions even for modern transmission oils.

Our BMOTION alloy group encompasses all high-performance brasses that we have developed especially for applications in the automotive industry.
BMOTION special brasses are particularly well-suited to applications where brass parts are subject to frictional movements and thus wear stress, and which thereby demand properties such as toughness, surface quality, thermal conductivity and wear resistance.

Dezincification-resistant brass of the new generation
AQCUARIN is a dezincification-resistant material with reduced lead content. The alloy was developed to fulfil the current requirements for drinking water installations and at the same time to retain the proven characteristics of dezincification brasses.
Thanks to an outstanding system, the material can be completely recycled.

Low-lead brass alloy for drinking water applications in line with US legislation
In the USA, the Safe Drinking Water Act in conjunction with the Reduction of Lead in Drinking Water Act provides nationwide regulation regarding the correct selection of suitable materials and products for drinking water installations. Here, the requirements placed on materials and components which come into contact with drinking water are defined.
The ECOMERICA alloy family encompasses low-lead brass alloys which were specially developed for the requirements of US legislation regarding drinking water installations. Typical applications include pipes, fittings and other parts used for conducting drinking water.
