With the new Airspace cabin for Single Aisle, Airbus brings the comfort of a long-haul aircraft to the A320neo Family. Launch customer jetBlue has now received its first aircraft - with a lot of technology and components from Diehl Aviation on board.
Diehl Aviation has developed comprehensive packages for the new Airspace cabin for the A320neo Family on behalf of its customer Airbus. The new cabin design offers passengers more seating comfort and largest luggage compartments. Diehl Aviation has adapted, among other things, the cabin's lining and designed a completely new lighting concept in addition to virtually touchless lavatories.
Diehl Aviation's Airspace cabin work packages for Single Aisle help to set new standards for aircraft cabins and consider passengers' growing needs for more space, comfort and maximum hygiene. This is especially effective on longer flight routes and significantly increases passengers' travel comfort.
Even the cabin entrance itself offers a unique welcome experience: Effect lighting equipped with the latest LED technology gives the entrance area an even larger, more modern and brighter feel. This impression extends to the entire cabin and is achieved by the stunning main lighting, the 40-centimeter-wide Hero Light running centrally, and the flexible light strips on the contour strips – for instance of the luggage compartments. The special feature here is that Hero Light can be customized to match the corporate identity of each airline with its own logo and patterns. This lends each aircraft its own individual touch. Comforting colors and dimmable lighting ensure maximum well-being for passengers on board.
To even enhance passenger comfort, the Sidewall Lining has also been completely modernized. The new sidewall contour even ensures an increased shoulder room.
Passengers will also find maximum comfort, a pleasant feel-good atmosphere and the highest hygiene and safety standards in the lavatories. Virtually touch-free on-board toilets feature automatic mood lighting, aroma dispenser, music, sensor-controlled faucets, touchless toilet lids and waste bin flaps, and antimicrobial surfaces throughout. Multiple sensors on the new lavatories provide optimized smoke and fire detection.
With its contributions for Airspace cabin Diehl Aviation is a strong partner on the way to the cabin of the future: This outstanding concept enables airline customers to offer their passengers an unique flight experience and to save costs. All this is possible, among other things, due to the implementation of the latest LED technology and the development of maintenance-friendly sidewalls.
