Diehl Aviation has taken a decisive step in expanding its presence in the Americas: The building was completed on schedule, and Diehl Aviation successfully moved into the brand-new facility in March 2025. This marks the beginning of the production ramp-up phase and the on-site preparation of workforce and operations. The formal site opening of the Querétaro facility is scheduled for fall 2025.

Equipped with modern and functional facilities, the Querétaro site will enhance Diehl Aviation’s production capacity. The necessary production capabilities, along with a highly skilled workforce trained to meet the aviation industry's highest safety and quality standards, are being developed at the site. These foundational steps are essential to ensuring the seamless transfer of work packages,

"We’re building this facility to be closer to our customers in the Americas—particularly final assembly lines in Brazil, Canada, and the U.S.—while also creating new job opportunities in the region and promoting the development of a skilled workforce in the aerospace sector,” said Jörg Schuler, CEO of Diehl Aviation. “Querétaro’s strategic location and strong infrastructure make it an ideal base to support our global and regional customers. This investment strengthens our long-term growth and commitment to the aerospace market in North and Latin America.

The new location is a strategic move to strengthen proximity to key customers in the Americas —including Airbus, Boeing, Bombardier, and Embraer—and reflects Diehl Aviation’s commitment to being closer, faster, and more responsive in one of its most important growth regions. Located in the same time zone as major final assembly lines throughout the Americas, the new site enhances collaboration, reduces lead times, and allows for more agile customer support.

A Key Contribution to the Region

Beyond improving operational efficiency, the new facility is expected to create hundreds of local jobs in the aerospace sector, contributing to the development of a strong and sustainable supply chain. The new site also positions Diehl Aviation as a player in the growing aerospace hub in Querétaro, an area already home to renowned industry leaders like Bombardier, Airbus, Safran, and Delta Airlines.

Initially, the facility will span 8,000 square meters of production and office space, employing around 30 people during the initial startup phase. In the medium term, Diehl Aviation plans to expand the workforce to approximately 500 employees. Production is expected to begin in the second half of 2025. The total investment amount is in the double-digit million-euro range.
