Diehl Aviation mourns the loss of Dr. Gerardo Walle

Dr. Gerardo Walle, former CEO of Diehl Aerospace, died on Thursday from an automobile accident at the age of 67.

The divison board and the employees of Diehl Aviation were shocked to receive the tragic news that Dr. Gerardo Walle died on Thursday in a tragic automobile accident.

The 67-year-old long-time CEO of Diehl Aerospace, a joint venture of Diehl and Thales, managed the company with enormous expertise and impressive humanity. With his leadership skills, deep understanding of the aerospace sector, and respectful nature, Walle was an acknowledged and esteemed partner at an international level. He made great contributions to taking Diehl Aerospace into a successful future. Walle, who holds a Doctorate in Aerospace Engineering, has been connected to the company until the present day by serving on Diehl Aerospace’s Supervisory Board. Gerardo Walle is survived by his wife and three adult children.
