Potable and Waste Water System
When it comes to fresh and waste water systems, Diehl Aviation is much more than just a supplier. The company collaborates with aircraft manufacturers to develop complete systems from the design phase of new aircraft, before manufacturing and integrating them. Diehl Aviation also offers all the components needed for line and retrofit fitting, including custom-made fresh water tanks and the world's lightest toilet.
A top-class system provider
Fresh water and wastewater systems must function flawlessly in all conditions, whether that's extreme heat on the ground, minus 55 degrees Celsius in the air, or turbulence. Diehl Aviation's technologies guarantee operational readiness at all times. As a system provider, Diehl Aviation develops customised fresh water and waste water systems for aircraft of all sizes. Diehl Aviation contributes its decades of expertise to aircraft development, advising on issues such as ideal tank sizes and the optimal placement of water pipes.
This has been done for the Airbus A330 and A350, as well as the latest aircraft types from Bombardier and Gulfstream. Diehl Aviation's test centre offers unique conditions for this purpose. It contains 1:1 replicas of the water and wastewater systems that can be used to simulate any potential issues — a unique selling point.
In addition to complete systems, Diehl Aviation offers a full range of individual components and regularly brings innovations to market that set new standards.

Tanks
Diehl Aviation develops precisely tailored tanks for fresh water supply and waste water disposal, in terms of size, shape and choice of material, to meet the requirements of the respective aircraft model. The aim is always to optimise performance, safety and weight. Diehl Aviation's single-tank solution for the A350, for example, is unique worldwide and significantly reduces weight.
