  • Door Management System

Aircraft are increasingly being equipped with electrically controlled doors. Diehl Aviation develops and integrates these complex systems, which include sensors, actuators, control computers, and control panels, to ensure safe operation at all times. Diehl Aviation has supplied the door system for the Airbus A380 and supported the fleet for over 20 years. For the A350, Diehl Aviation developed a door system as part of an Integrated Modular Avionics (IMA) platform that controls multiple functions simultaneously, saving space, weight, and costs.

  • Battery Management System

Battery management is a critical safety component of modern aircraft and eVTOLs. Diehl Aviation develops systems that monitor and distribute energy, ensuring that emergency power functions properly. For the Volocopter air taxi, the system manages energy from nine battery packs that power 18 rotors and provides the pilot with all flight-related information. Diehl Aviation also developed an independent battery system that ensures a safe emergency power supply for the electric outer doors of the Airbus A380.

  • Fuel Sensors

Diehl Aviation develops and supplies fuel level monitoring sensors for use in safety-critical applications. These systems are characterized by maximum reliability and comprehensive support. As with all Diehl Aviation technologies, the company guarantees support throughout the sensors' entire service life.
