What’s the best way to read water meters on an island located far from the mainland and with particularly challenging terrain? For the waterworks of Sibenik in Croatia, this was a pressing question. Manually reading meters on the small island of Kaprije was proving costly and time-consuming. On top of that, it was difficult to detect leaks and reaction times were often slow.
All that changed after Diehl Metering installed a fixed network solution in a pilot project for the island. Such is the success of the solution that the client has asked for it to be installed on another five islands in the future.
