The basis for Diehl Defence's business activities is the mission of the German contracting authority and other customers from European and NATO-equivalent countries. The company contributes to the operational capability of the contracting authority, which guarantees our security and sovereignty. At Diehl Defence, the sustainability strategy is part of the corporate strategy. Responsibility for this lies with the Strategy and Business Development department.

Our vision: Sustainably into a secure future. To implement our sustainability strategy, sustainability aspects are gradually being integrated into our processes, considering taking into account customer requirements. For us, the term sustainability entails a holistic approach We understand the term sustainability to mean a holistic approach based on environmental, social and governance elements. 

INFORMATION FOR THE PUBLIC IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE 12TH ORDINANCE ON THE IMPLEMENTATION OF THE FEDERAL IMMISSION CONTROL ACT (HAZARDOUS INCIDENT ORDINANCE – 12TH BIMSCHV)

In accordance with Art. 8a in conjunction with Annex V of the 12th BImSchV, Diehl Defence as operator of the charging and assembling plant Maasberg in Nonnweiler-Bierfeld, Am Maasberg 1, and the factory in Roethenbach a. d. Pegnitz, Fischbachstraße 16 - 20,  is obliged to inform the public of any hazards which may arise from an incident, inluding possible effects on human health and the environment, and to publish a summary of the major incident scenarios and measures to prevent such scenarios or limit their effects.

The information for the Maasberg plant is provided on pages 6 and 7 of the brochure “Das richtige Verhalten bei Störfällen” .
The last on-site inspection at Maasberg took place on January 26, 2024.

The information for the factory in Roethenbach a. d. Pegnitz is provided in the brochure “Verhalten bei Störfällen am Standort Röthenbach“. The last on-site inspection in Roethenbach took place on October 27, 2022.
