IRIS-T – air-to-air missile
Within the context of a European cooperation program, the new IRIS-T (InfraRed Imaging System – Tail/Thrust Vector Controlled) air-to-air guided missile is being manufactured under the industrial leadership of Diehl Defence.
The missile designed to engage air targets has been selected as standard weapon for the fighter aircraft Eurofigher, F-16, EF-18, Tornado and Saab Gripen.

Sidewinder – air-to-air missile
As European prime contractor, Diehl Defence has manufactured more than 35,000 Sidewinder air-to-air missiles for almost all NATO partners, and currently offers extensive upgrade programs.
Diehl Raytheon Missile Systeme GmbH, Überlingen, a joint venture of Diehl and Raytheon, is responsible for modernization and marketing of the existing AIM-9L/M Sidewinders.
Laser-Guided Sidewinder – Guided Missile for air-to-surface missions
The Laser-Guided Sidewinder missile, currently under development, is an effector based on the Sidewinder AIM-9L-family and adapted for air-to-surface missions. The accuracy of LaGS allows aircraft crews precise engagement of ground targets.
AARGM (Advanced Anti-Radar Guided Missile)
Anti-radar guided missile designed to engage mobile radar sites, even in case of switched-off radars and interference of GPS signals.
Diehl Defence and the US company Orbital ATK signed a cooperation agreement covering production and marketing of AARGM in Germany.
Glide missile designed for engagement of surface targets at ranges of 100 km.
Diehl Defence and Rafael are offering SPICE-250 as the latest product of the SPICE glide missile family for the combat jet Eurofighter/Typhoon.

SPIKE is for engagement of armored vehicles and use by dismounted infantry. Moreover, the guided missile is planned as armament for the PUMA Infantry Fighting Vehicle.
EuroSpike GmbH is a joint venture of Diehl Defence (40%), Rheinmetall Defence Electronics (40%) and the Rafael subsidiary ERCAS BV (20%). The program company markets the Israeli Spike guided missile family in Europe.
RAM Block 2 (Rolling Airframe Missile) guided missile
The RAM Block 2 possesses an upgraded radar seeker as well as considerably higher agility compared to preceding missile generations.
RBS15 Mk3 – Heavy-weight anti-ship missile
The German-Swedish RBS15 Mk3 heavy-weight anti-ship missile is designed to engage surface vessels and land targets. A contract has been awarded for the German Navy´s new K130 corvette.
All RBS15 Mk3 missiles are integrated in Germany.
IDAS – Guided missile system for self-defence of submarines
IDAS is a self-defence missile system enabling submerged submarines high-precision engagement of anti-submarine warfare helicopters, small surface vessels and littoral targets.

The 76mm ammunition for the naval gun is in use with 20 navies worldwide. The new 76mm naval ammunition, currently under development, meets the requirements of insensitive ammunition according to NATO STANAG.

The 40mm infantry ammunition is a newly developed ammunition familiy for engagement of infantry targets beneath camouflage and behind cover.

Flight Profile Recorder
The Flight Profile Recorder (FPR) has established itself as the NATO standard for air-combat training systems in Europe. The German Air Force, the TLP NATO Training Center as well as the Belgian, Italian, Norwegian and Swiss Air Forces use the system in daily flight operations.
COMTESS – Combat Training Evaluation and Simulation System
The COMTESS system allows real-time and documented air combat training including the simulated employment of air-to-air missile independent of firmly installed ground stations.
