The affiliate JUNGHANS Microtec stands for European fuze technology in the development and manufacture of fuzes as well as safety and arming devices for guided missiles, rockets as well as medium- and large-caliber ammunition. State-of-the-art micromechanics and large-scale integrated electronics enable the development and production of modern fuzing systems for the Bundeswehr and allied forces. T2M, the subsidiary of JUNGHANS Microtec, is located at Le Ferté Aubin in France.

Solutions for energy supply

Diehl Defence has in-house development and production facilities available to meet needs for electric energy storage devices for missiles, ammunition and other special applications. The subsidiary Diehl Energy Products produces activatable thermal batteries for military applications, fuze batteries in lithium-thionyl chloride technology as well as customer-specific battery packs in lithium, nickel-cadmium and nickel-hybrid technology for the defence, electronics and communication industries.

Packaging systems for transporting hazardous goods

For more than five decades, Diehl Defence has been developing, producing and marketing high-quality packaging systems for tank ammunition, mortar grenades, anti-tank weapons, fuzes and hand grenades. In addition, hazardous goods packaging for lithium-ion batteries are delivered to the automotive industry. A packaging system consists of an outer and an inner packaging. The outer packaging made of wood, plywood and metal is complemented by an internal container made of spirally wound fibrous materials.
