The Spring 2022 issue of Microsoft’s Technology Record has just been released. Our teams are delighted to have this opportunity to share an array of solutions and inspirations for a more sustainable future.

Annette Geuther, our Chief Sales Officer, looks at how we are helping consumers and utility providers reduce water and energy consumption (Page 140). As resources become increasingly valuable, smart metering solutions, data-driven network intelligence and the Internet of Things are enabling us to address major challenges in relation to water, heating, cooling and sub-metering.

In this issue, Sebastian Wäschle presents our Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) project. Developed by project managers Christoph Dümmler and Florian Einzinger with OPEX, IE and IT, it plays an integral role in digitizing production. By gathering vast amounts of manufacturing data, companies can prioritize transparency and optimize processes (Page 23).

Mourad BOUFENAR, our Head of Global Portfolio Management Software & Related Services, also briefly explains how our IZAR solutions and software make it easier to monitor water networks and consumption patterns, so consumers and providers can save money and change their habits (Page 137).

We are really excited about the positive impact of these innovations – and proud to work alongside Microsoft and other like-minded partners.
