Change in the Diehl Executive Board

Dipl.-Kfm. Dr.-Ing. Martin Sommer (65), member of the Diehl Executive Board and responsible for the Corporate Section Human Resources and Social Matters, will leave the company by the end of the year and go into retirement. Dr. Sommer has been part of the company since January 2004. During the 18 years at Diehl, he decisively pushed topics such as corporate culture, systematic processes of selection and development of executives as well as corporate-wide HR systems in a highly trustful cooperation with the works council. At the same time, sustainable planning was a core element when shaping the future. In addition, Dr. Sommer has been representing the Diehl Group highly successful in numerous bodies and committees, for example as Chief Executive Officer of the regional groups Nürnberg, Fürth, Erlangen of the Bavarian Employer's Association for the Metalworking and Electrical Industries (bayme vbm).

The successor of Dr. Sommer as member of the Diehl Executive Board with responsibility for the Corporate Section Human Resources and Social Matters will be Dipl.-Staatsw. Univ. Jens Böhlke (53), up to now head of Human Resources of the Aviation Corporate Division, with effect from January 1, 2022. Mr. Böhlke studied political and social sciences at the University of the German Bundeswehr in Munich and after the completion of his officer's career he held different positions in the field of human resources. Mr. Böhlke joined the Diehl Group in August 2009.
