Final Thesis Efficient Data Encoding for Distributed Smart Sensors - Summer semester 2025
These are your tasks:
- Investigate Data encoding techniques in the context of sensor data.
- You will be responsible for developing prototype algorithms for data driven compression techniques (lossy and lossless).
- Specifically address the sensorics context, focusing on sensor data from low-power devices.
- Investigate systematically accuracy of the encoding strategy that you defined.
- You will explore and apply novel techniques from the latest scientific literature.
Who we are looking for:
- You are pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Physics, Mathematics, Electrical Engineering or a related field.
- You have solid experience with Python, prior experience in microcontroller programming is a plus.
- Strong knowledge in statistical data analysis and a solid foundation in signal processing are essential.
- You have excellent English language skills; proficiency in German is a plus.
- Self-management, communication skills, and the ability to work independently complete your profile.
