Cooperation partner University of Debrecen nominated the aviation supplier
The Hungarian subsidiary of aviation supplier Diehl Aviation has won the "Genius Loci" prize, which in the past five years has been awarded by the Hungarian Association for Talent Support to companies and organizations that have made outstanding contributions in this field. Diehl was chosen this year because the company provides outstanding support for the practical training of students, offers a mentoring program and provided young people with further development opportunities through the development of modern engineering software and the application of 3D printing technology.
During a ceremony at the Larus Event Centre in Budapest today, Vilmos Benkő, President of the National Talent Support Council for Hungary, presented the award to Kata Törő, who represented Diehl Aviation in Debrecen, Hungary, as Head of Human Resources for the Engineering and Support Center (ESC) of Diehl Aviation. Receiving the award is a special recognition of Diehl Aviation's commitment to promoting young professionals in Hungary.
The Talent Council of the University of Debrecen had recommended Diehl Aviation to the jury as a candidate for this year's award. Diehl and the University of Debrecen have been cooperating for the past few years in the field of education in technical disciplines and with a joint laboratory.
The current Diehl Aviation subsidiary in Hungary has been operating at a production site in Nyírbátor since 2011. In addition, the Engineering and Support Center (ESC) in Debrecen has been under construction since 2016. Today Diehl Aviation employs about 750 people at the two locations in Hungary.
