The United Nations has validated Diehl Metering as a signatory of Global Compact, the voluntary initiative for companies to contribute to a sustainable world. We now feature on the Global Compact website as one of more than 13,000 businesses to have committed to the pact.
Following our letter of commitment, signed by our CEO Dr. Christof Bosbach in June, our participation in Global Compact has been officially confirmed. Like all members, we will abide by the initiative’s 10 principles covering human rights, labor, the environment and anti-corruption, while continuing to actively support of the 17 Sustainable Development Goals.
As part of our commitment to Global Compact, we will publish an annual Communication on Progress (COP) report, outlining our actions and sharing performance indicators to measure our progress. Our first COP is due for publication in August 2022.
By participating in Global Compact, Diehl Metering wants to offer greater transparency to all its interested parties. The initiative also fits perfectly with our overarching focus on sustainability, as we work together to empower our customers, suppliers, employees and people everywhere to shape a better world.
