“We are very pleased with this great result, as it reflects our continuous commitment to sustainable corporate development. I would like to thank all employees who have made this success possible,” says Heinz Strobl, CEO of Diehl Brass Solutions, about the positive assessment.

Lisa Pförtsch, Health, Safety & Environment Manager at Diehl Brass Solutions, adds: “The silver medal from EcoVadis is a significant achievement and a confirmation of our continuous efforts to embed sustainability in all our business practices. We continue to work on improving our processes and setting new standards to fulfill our responsibility towards the environment and society.”

EcoVadis rates companies in the areas of environment, labor and human rights, ethics and sustainable procurement. The ratings are based on a point scale from 0 to 100 and provide detailed insights and feedback to help companies improve their sustainability strategies and achieve their sustainability goals. To date, over 130,000 companies worldwide have been rated by EcoVadis.

Diehl Brass Solutions has set itself the goal of further expanding its sustainability activities. By using renewable energy sources, Diehl Brass Solutions is already achieving more climate-friendly production. The use of green electricity and heat recovery play a key role in this. With photovoltaics (PV) on the hall roofs, green electricity is to be generated and used specifically for the energy-intensive operation. The first PV systems will be installed this year.
