With this new state-of-the-art building, the company is further expanding its lead as a competence center for modern electromobility. In the future, up to three million cell contact systems per year will be produced here on 7,500 square meters.

Yesterday, Diehl Advanced Mobility's new production hall at the Zehdenick site was officially inaugurated. In just nine months, a modern production center has been built at the already existing competence center for the development and manufacturing of cell contact systems for electric vehicles. The new facility offers around 7,500 sqm of production & logistics space, 2,000 sqm of social and office space as well as a roof area of 6,000 sqm, which is used for sustainable energy production by means of photovoltaics.

"We are proud of this great project, which we have mastered in a joint effort and thus laid the foundation for a successful future. A success for us as a company, but also for the growing employment and prosperity of our up-and-coming Berlin-Brandenburg region. With our products for modern drive concepts, we are right on the pulse of the times. Just three years ago, we had fewer than 300 employees at our Zehdenick site; today, we are already a team of 750," emphasizes Boris Biere, CEO of Diehl Advanced Mobility. This is a positive sign for the upswing in the region, which is already referred to as "the region for future mobility".

Among the invited guests of honor was Dr. Dietmar Woidke, Minister President of the State of Brandenburg: "Brandenburg is in the process of developing into a center of modern, climate-neutral industry, especially in the field of electromobility. We are reconciling environmental and climate protection with innovative economic development. With Diehl Advanced Mobility, we have a strong partner and pioneer for a successful future. The company has recognized the signs of the times and is investing specifically here in Brandenburg in the technologies of the future that are in demand."
