Diehl Defence GmbH & Co. KG has completely taken over e.sigma Systems GmbH and its subsidiary e.sigma Technology GmbH with locations in Munich and Ilmenau.

e.sigma Systems GmbH is a leading specialist in state-of-the-art training and simulation technologies for military mission scenarios. e.sigma's solutions include amongst others customized simulation systems for a wide range of platforms and command and control systems as well as user-configured training centers. This includes the product e.TACCS, a tactical command and control platform for all branches of the armed forces with an open and modular system architecture, which is executable locally as well as on cloud platforms. e.sigma furthermore offers "KOFA - Advanced Voice Processing System", an AI-supported communication system software, which provides internet free and secured applications in both the military and civilian market.

The takeover offers e.sigma the opportunity to achieve the next level of growth in cooperation with a strong partner and leading system house in the field of air defence. For Diehl Defence, e.sigma offers, among other things, the strategic contribution of state-of-the-art training capabilities for air defence systems, true to the motto "train as you fight". The existing company will continue to operate independently as e.sigma with its own management and its entire portfolio on the market.

Helmut Rauch, CEO of Diehl Defence, comments: "With the acquisition of e.sigma, we strengthen our expertise with innovative training and simulation technologies. This decision fits perfectly into our growth strategy and represents a win-win situation for both companies, the market and our customers. We are also very pleased that Mr. Müllner will support the company as a consultant during the transition period. His many years of experience and technical expertise will help to ensure a smooth change of management and to prepare the company for its new future in the best possible way."

Josef Müllner, former Managing Director of e.sigma, explains: "I am delighted that with this company succession, after 24 years of successful business activity of e.sigma, the foundations have been laid for many more years to come. The handover to Diehl Defence, a family-owned and renowned company in the defence industry, facilitates this significant milestone and provides e.sigma with a roof under which it can continue to grow. Culture, skills and portfolio complement each other perfectly and guarantee a successful takeover and further development which also opens up long-term career prospects for e.sigma employees."
