Diehl Defence returns to Farnborough Airshow as exhibitor while worldwide exhibition activities continue to pick up again
Focus on capabilities and products for air defence purposes
Diehl Defence is returning as exhibitor to Farnborough Airshow, held from July 18 to July 22 this year. The company will exhibit at an airshow for the third time already in 2022, after previous presences at Singapore Airshow in February and ILA Berlin Airshow in June.
At Farnborough, the biggest aerospace expo event worldwide in 2022, the displays of Diehl Defence on the company’s stand (119 sqm, No. 2120 in Hall 2) focus on capabilities and products for air defence purposes.
On display will be Diehl’s flagship IRIS-T air-to-air missile, in service with many air forces worldwide on platforms such as the Eurofighter Typhoon, SAAB Gripen, F-16 and F-5. In addition, the application of Diehl Defence’s missile technology for future concepts will be shown, such as the Future Combat Air to Air Missile (FCAAM).
Diehl Defence, as a leading Ground Based Air Defence (GBAD) house, will have models of its IRIS-T SLM system on display at Farnborough. On the Diehl Defence booth, 1:12 models of the IRIS-T SLM system components launcher, radar and operational command center will be supplemented by a model of HPEM SkyWolf, a counter-UAS system based on high-power electro-magnetic technology.
