A decisive factor for your career is a good network. That is why we create many opportunities for you to get to know other students as well as experienced Diehl colleagues. For example, we organize regular site visits or practice days in the Nuremberg area, where Diehl Metering and Diehl Metall cooperate with the Technical University of Nuremberg Georg Simon Ohm. Diehl Controls also offers practice days at their site in Wangen im Allgäu. For our Students' Day, we invite students to the headquarters once per semester for a better understanding of our Group, and at the Student Stammtisch (Regulars' Table), students and alumni meet in a relaxed setting to exchange ideas and are able to network.

If your performance is above average, we will support you in cooperation with the Rheinisch-Westfälische Technische Hochschule Aachen, the TH Nuremberg and the FAU Nuremberg for a longer period of time as a Diehl scholarship holder and give you financial support. In addition, we give out promotional prizes: some of the best industrial engineers at the Friedrich-Alexander University in Erlangen-Nuremberg receive a prize from us each year.

Student internship
You can do an internship at Diehl in both the commercial or technical area - as a preliminary and basic internship and at one of our locations abroad. You will gain broad and valuable insights into our projects and processes. The internship is challenging and exciting because you take on real responsibility. You will work full-time, i.e. 35 hours per week, which you can plan individually with the help of the flexible working time model.

A real opportunity: After your internship, you can become a working student at one of our locations for up to two years.

Working student
As a working student, you are part of the Diehl team from the beginning until the end of your studies - a first step towards your career. You have your own, clearly defined tasks and you assume responsibility for them. Of course, we will support you to make sure that everything works out and that you can still focus on your studies.

You will have a mentor in the team, a lot of individual freedom and flexibility regarding your working time. This includes flexi time and usually the opportunity to work from home. If you have exams coming up, you can reduce the number of working hours, cut back to zero, take vacation days or reduce overtime - your studies come first.

Semester jobs

If you want to earn some extra money during your semester, you can do so at Diehl. This will give you an insight into the work of our international technology group at the same time as enabling you to gain valuable practical experience and to network. You can find open semester jobs on our job board, but you are also welcome to send us a

speculative application.
Research projects and theses

If you want to complete your theoretical knowledge with practical experience, you can work with us on your project-oriented research or write your Bachelor's, Master's or diploma thesis with us. Working with a practical partner like Diehl offers you many advantages. You have a partner by your side who supervises you, you can start building a network during your studies and the most important thing: your entry into professional life will be easier.
