I am a production area manager at Diehl Metall Schmiedetechnik and responsible for the processing, inspection and packaging of synchronizer rings. We are an important supplier to the automotive industry. I started here as an apprentice. That was in 1997 – which means I have been part of the Diehl family for more than 25 years. I enjoy working here because we have a great environment and I have been able to grow into more and more demanding jobs over the years. Moreover, what we are manufacturing is crucial for society. Even if people are often unaware that parts from us have been used for producing their products: Like our components made of lead-free brass alloys in water meters, which not only ensure a sustainable use of water, but also keep people healthy. Or our technologies that are already now used in the battery storage systems of modern cars. These are areas where there is a constant need for improvement - and we have plenty of interesting areas and jobs to do just that.

Diehl Metall Schmiedeteile (forgings) develops and manufactures sophisticated metal forming parts such as brass housings for the smart living segment and is a successful partner of the automotive industry thanks to high-performance brass and steel synchronizer rings or pin fin heat sinks. Diehl Metal Applications offers current carrying solutions for the automotive and electrical industry and also supports sustainable mobility concepts such as e-bikes or drone logistics. For many years, Diehl Advanced Mobility has been a major partner in the development and production of future-oriented mobility solutions in the automotive industry. The high-performance cell-contact systems for battery storages already today provide dynamic propulsion in modern vehicles.
