Fully automatic remote reading for unrivalled convenience
If you’re managing large properties, our fixed network solution offers you an efficient way to automatically collect individual consumption data, even under the most challenging conditions. With a fixed network, you’ll benefit from fully automatic remote reading of all your communicating water and heat meters, as well as heat cost allocators and other sensors compatible with the Open Metering System (OMS) standard. The main benefit? You’ll save time and allow your staff to focus on tasks other than data collection. What’s more, you’ll be able to take more frequent meter readings without additional efforts and costs.
To implement a fixed network, permanent receivers are installed in your building. These capture and send measurement data at definable intervals to your meter data management (MDM) software – IZAR@NET 2 if installed on your server or IZAR PLUS Portal if you prefer software as a service. You can then retrieve the readings whenever you want and easily export them to your billing software. You can also take interim readings, which are necessary if there is a change of tenant during the year. Thanks to high data granularity and timeliness, you’ll also benefit from a smart analysis of your network. With the right network set-up, you can configure your IZAR MDM software to display alarms about potential leaks or meter malfunctions. Through these intelligent features, you’ll limit water and energy losses, boost the sustainability of your building, and reduce the risk of costly damage.
Using the same system infrastructure, you can easily add electronic heat cost allocators to determine the heating consumption of each radiator relative to total consumption in the building. To provide your tenants with a comprehensive service, you can easily integrate additional devices such as temperature and humidity sensors, whenever you like. Furthermore, it’s possible to enable up to bi-weekly monitoring of integrated OMS-compatible smoke detectors, ensuring the detectors are all functioning properly to increase tenant safety.
Are you ready to comply with the EED?
The EU’s Energy Efficiency Directive (EED) has a significant impact on sub-metering. To help reduce energy consumption, it imposes two main obligations on your activity: measuring devices must be remotely readable; and consumers must be given regular insights into their energy consumption during the year.
These requirements are introduced step by step over a period of several years. The best way to ensure you are EED compliant? Future-proof your network now!
At Diehl Metering, our solutions provide you with EED compliance both now and in the future.
You can choose from our Walk-by/Drive-by or fixed network solution. Both empower you to take remote readings and collect the data necessary to provide regular consumption information to end consumers. You can even enhance your offer to consumers with our IZAR@HOME smartphone app, an easy-to-use tool that allows them to track their consumption throughout the year.
Our smart metering solutions will also help you improve your energy efficiency, contributing to greater sustainability. And because our solutions all use the OMS standard, you can be sure of optimal flexibility as you grow your network in the future.
