Gas network operators and water suppliers meet at the Congress Messe Innsbruck/ Tirol/ Österreich
On June 9th and 10th, the annual congress of the Austrian Gas and Water Association (ÖVGW) will take place in Innsbruck/ Tirol. Around 430 participants from both sectors will meet at the Congress Messe Innsbruck to exchange views on current technical and economic challenges as well as innovative, future-oriented approaches to solutions. The program is complemented by an extensive trade fair with more than 70 exhibiting companies.
The ÖVGW Congress is the largest Austrian industry meeting place for the gas and water sector. The audience includes managers of gas network operators and water suppliers, experts from universities as well as from the administration and the planning sector.
"Austrian companies in the gas and water industry have been providing reliable and secure supplies for decades. In order to remain fit for the future, the values and infrastructures created must be further developed at a high level and sustainably secured for future generations. The congress is an important platform and information hub to sharpen the view for the challenges of the coming years and to exchange ideas with representatives from politics, industry, science and business," says ÖVGW Managing Director Michael Mock.
At the same time, the congress will be accompanied by a showcase of the industry, unique in this scope in Austria, where new services and products from the field of gas and water supply will be presented. The spectrum of topics ranges from UV disinfection systems to locating, measuring and control devices to software and consulting services for energy concepts. The exhibition is open to all interested parties with a free day ticket. In addition to the congress audience, around 350 other visitors are expected to attend the trade show.
About the ÖVGW
The Austrian Gas and Water Association (ÖVGW) is the voluntary representation of Austrian gas network operators and water supply companies. It counts all gas network operators and about 260 companies in the water sector among its members. Through cooperation with provincial associations, the ÖVGW represents more than 1,500 water suppliers. These supply around 80% of the Austrian population with drinking water.
