Bringing Aviation to Hungary

Nyírbátor

With a current workforce of nearly 700 employees, Diehl Aviation Hungary in Nyírbátor is one of the most dynamically developing aircraft parts manufacturing factories in Hungary, and one of the highest quality international suppliers in the aviation industry.

The history of Diehl Aviation Hungary started in 2011 in Nyírbátor, when the expansion rate of the German parent company called for the installation of a new production plant. For this purpose, Hungary, and particularly the town of Nyírbátor, proved to be the ideal location. Having established the work conditions and the required infrastructure, the training of the employees hired for production was conducted in cooperation with the German parent company in Laupheim, where they were given the opportunity to learn the technology of aircraft construction supported by the experience of the German colleagues spanning more than 20 years, which enabled Diehl to become one of the first companies to perform production in Hungary. In addition, our activities include design, development, construction and certification processes.

The Engineering and Service Center is established in Debrecen. Thanks to the success of production, the owners again put their trust in Hungary, when they were looking for the perfect place to accommodate the expansion of Diehl’s engineering capacity necessitated by market needs. As a result of this trust, construction of our Engineering and Service Center was completed in 2018 in Debrecen, and by the end of 2020 the center at Lion Office will have offered unique career opportunities for up to 150 highly-skilled professionals in the aviation industry.
