We’ve published our 2024 Sustainability & Integrated Management System (IMS) report, offering stakeholders a transparent view into our environmental, social, and governance (ESG) performance. This year’s edition outlines strategic progress in sustainability and compliance and provides clear insights into how we align with global standards and stakeholder expectations.
The report highlights measurable impact and alignment with the UN Global Compact, SDGs, and SBTi commitments.

What’s new in the 2024 report?

This year’s release features updated ESG indicators for 2024, expanded coverage of our Integrated Management System (IMS) and its operational standards, and a spotlight on metrology, our core business. Above all, it reinforces a clear message: sustainability is everyone’s business.

Key highlights include:

  • Our commitment to the UN Global Compact and SDGs,
  • Our adherence to the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi), with a goal of net-zero emissions by 2050,
  • Platinum EcoVadis rating for our Saint-Louis site, placing us in the top 1% globally,

From voluntary disclosure to strategic imperative

Sustainability reporting has evolved from voluntary environmental disclosures in the 1980s to a regulated and standardized practice across Europe. Diehl Metering has been a signatory of the UN Global Compact since 2021 and publishes its Communication on Progress (COP) annually. The 2022 report marked our first full sustainability publication, and the 2024 edition expands transparency across both ESG and IMS dimensions—reinforcing our commitment to responsible business, even as regulatory frameworks continue to evolve.

Why does it matter to customers and partners?

Sustainability is now a competitive advantage: 92% of consumers trust brands that are socially responsible (source BusinessDasher survey), and 55% prefer eco-friendly products. These insights highlight how sustainability is not just a corporate value, it’s a business imperative.

The 2024 Sustainability & IMS report offers customers and partners greater transparency, reinforces compliance with global standards, and reflects a shared commitment to shaping a more sustainable future. It goes beyond financial metrics to demonstrate how responsible innovation builds long-term trust and responds to rising expectations for corporate accountability across Europe and beyond.
