Application

VHF CP V2 is a radio module designed for walk-by reading and long-range fixed network remote reading of Diehl Metering water meters.
VHF CP V2 can be easily clipped on all the meters of the Diehl Metering inductive modular range (Ha+Ti or Ti) with a grey or red ring. Its tamper-proof sensor operating on inductive principle enables the data collection of the water meter and the reading is ensured via a bidirectional link in walk-by mode and long-range fixed network mode. VHF CP V2 is field or factory programmable with the serial number of the associated meter.
VHF CP V2 offers multiple functions (historical index value, flowrate histogram...) and alarms (breakage detection, frost and risk of frost detection, backflow...).

  • Operating principle

    VHF CP V2 includes an electronic circuit that collects the data coming from a Diehl Metering water meter and transmits the index and other operating information in long-range fixed network WIZE protocol according to configurable profiles, or on demand in walk-by reading mode.

    Mobile reading in walk-by:
    The data sent by the VHF CP V2 is collected in bidirectional mode using a portable terminal equipped with a battery-powered radio transceiver. The data is then uploaded directly to the centralized computer system.

    Fixed network:
    A fixed concentrator installed on a building will collect the data and send it at predefined intervals via mobile network to the remote meter reading information system. The module is able to switch automatically from walk-by mode to fixed mode and to optimize the uplink modulation.
