EcoVadis: a global benchmark for sustainability
EcoVadis is a worldwide reference for business sustainability evaluations. Ratings out of 100 are awarded across 21 criteria, and an overall score is calculated. The EcoVadis rating system focuses on four key categories all of which are high priorities for Diehl Metering:
- environment,
- labor & human rights,
- ethics,
- procurement.
New scoring methodology: greater transparency
This year, EcoVadis updated its methodology from decade rounding to exact scores. Previously, scores were rounded to the nearest 10 points (for example, 49/100 displayed as 50/100). From now on, all scorecards published in 2025 show an exact score (for example, 49/100 instead of 50/100).
This change matters because it increases transparency and allows for more nuanced benchmarking. Incremental improvements or declines are now visible, making it easier to track progress and identify areas for improvement. In short, sustainability performance is reflected with higher fidelity.
Global sustainability 2025 performance
This year’s results reflect our ongoing commitment to sustainability. We submitted assessments for the following three entities:
- Diehl Metering GmbH maintained Gold rating for the second consecutive year. This assessment is multisite and covers Diehl Metering group.
- Diehl Metering SAS in Saint-Louis (France), gained +3 points overall and achieved Gold rating, reflecting strong performance amid rising industry benchmarks.
- Diehl Metering Sp.z.o.o. in Bazanowice (Poland), achieved Gold Rating for the second consecutive year with an improved score.
Key drivers behind the improvement
Several initiatives contributed to this success, including:
- Diehl Metering sustainability and IMS report 2024 (including materiality analysis, quantitative environment and social objectives, SBTi commitment, KPI trends…)
- New ISO 50001 certification
- The updated Group guidelines on compliance, antitrust, money laundering, information security, and responsible sourcing of conflict minerals
