A new Sustainability Report

Diehl Metering has released its third annual Sustainability Report for the period from 1 January to 31 December 2023. Available in digital format, this report builds on the foundations laid by the very first "Communication on Progress" (CoP) report published in early 2022. This latest edition reiterates Diehl Metering's commitment to the Global Compact, and alignment with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs)

Diehl Metering's approach

The 2023 Sustainability Report details Diehl Metering's strategy, practical actions and measured outcomes. Central to this effort is the company's goal of achieving carbon neutrality by 2045, with an emphasis on measuring and reducing greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions. It includes sustainability initiatives aimed at emissions reduction, energy efficiency, and promoting a circular economy

The seven distinctive priority programs

A key differentiator for Diehl Metering is the implementation of its 7 Priority Programs. They guide the company's comprehensive sustainability business strategy. These programs cover various aspects such as:

  • social governance,

  • resource management,

  • sustainable innovation,

  • and responsible investment.

The company's focus on life cycle assessment ensures that products are designed with environmental performance in mind. Additionally, Diehl Metering's initiatives extend to promoting inclusion and diversity and assessing social impact. These include efforts in renewable energy, developing a sustainable supply chain, and broader contributions to addressing climate change.

IMS and ESG to strengthen the commitment

New in this year's report is an in-depth focus on the company's Integrated Management System (IMS) and governance structures that prioritize Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) criteria. This highlights the company's commitment to aligning with new regulatory standards, including the upcoming EU Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD) and taxonomy Regulation, ensuring integrated reporting practices.

Emphasizes engagement through measurable actions

By reporting comprehensive information, Diehl Metering is not only highlighting its ongoing and past efforts. It also reiterates its commitment to sustainable industry practices through measurable actions.
