Diehl Metall received the Best Practice Award of “Metalle pro Klima” 

On Tuesday evening the 17th October 2017, this year´s award ceremony of “Metalle pro Klima” for exemplary c limate protection contributions in the non-ferrous metal industry took place.

The Best Practice Award in the category “CO2-saving products” went to three companies. Among them was Diehl Metall for its best practice example “modern brass materials as a key component in the development of fuel-efficient engines”. Rainer Wehn (member of the Division Board of Diehl Metall) calls climate protection as a key topic of today´s society. As a family-owned company, Diehl Metall is in responsibility to treat resources with care and to protect the environment. It is essential to improve power and material efficiency as well as to save CO2. Mainly in the automotive sector, this is very important regarding the requested emission reductions. Diehl Metall is committed to develop modern brass materials to support the production of fuel-efficient engines. As typical elements, Mr. Wehn mentioned, synchronizer rings, valve guides and friktion bearing of special brass.
