„Pupils being bosses“ project day at Diehl Metall
Diehl Metall supports the project “pupils being bosses” organized by the Wirtschaftsjunioren Nürnberg.
What does it mean to be a manager? – These and other questions were answered during the annual event, which is arranged for pupils by the Wirtschaftsjunioren Nürnberg. On this special day the adolescents have the opportunity to look over the shoulders of the boss in a company of their choice for one day. The purpose of the project is to give committed and interested pupils a realistic view of entrepreneurship encouraging the dialogue between school and economy.
This year Diehl Metall took part in this project for the first time. A pupil from the Leibniz Gymnasium-Altdorf got the chance to spend the day in the Strategic Marketing department at Diehl Metall. The Diehl Group as family-owned company as well as the product and technology portfolio of the Corporate Division Diehl Metall were presented. Furthermore, an insight of the working day at Diehl Metall was given and all the questions concerning profession and its range of responsibilities were answered. Taina Temmen, Director of the Strategic Marketing department, said: “The personal contact with young people is highly important. They are the managers of tomorrow.”. Diehl Metall is delighted to be able to support this project. After this successful day, Diehl Metall is planning to attend this project again next year presenting Diehl Metall as an innovative company.
