CSU representatives hosted by the company Diehl Metall Stiftung & Co. KG to get introduced to Dr. Heiner Schunk.
"Finally the time has come!" – After the last visit in 2011, the 2nd mayor of Röthenbach Wolfgang Gottschalk and deputy district administrator Cornelia Trinkl met each other again at Diehl Metall in Röthenbach on September 15, 2016, for a company visit. They have been accompanied by the CSU district chairman Norbert Dünkel, Marlene Mortler – drug commissioner of the federal government and a regular guest of the Diehl receptions in Berlin – and seven other economic developers of the CSU county council faction of the district “Nürnberger Land”. Their hosts were the President of the Corporate Division Diehl Metall Dr. Heiner Schunk and Klaus Schwarm, Product Manager Bars at Diehl Metall Messing.
The aim of the visit was getting to know the new President of the Corporate Division to discuss current political, economic and regional related issues. In a personal conversation with Klaus Schwarm, visitors could also learn more about the current product and technology portfolio of Diehl Metall. The visitors were particularly impressed of the factory tour through the halls of Diehl Metall Schmiedetechnik and Diehl Metall Messing.
After the factory tour, the CSU representatives were introduced to Dr. Heiner Schunk. The energy and climate policy played a major role in the conversation. The visitors of the CSU county council faction got insight into the personal views of the President of the Corporate Division relevant issues related to the company. The positive development of the plant Diehl Metall Röthenbach was of particular importance during the meeting. The good contact between the Diehl Office in Berlin and politics were relevant for the attendees as well.
The company visit demonstrated the high value of close and regular exchange between politics and economy. The good cooperation with the city council of Röthenbach is a positive example that both sides work together in the same direction to keep the location Röthenbach equally attractive for companies and residents of the city.
