Airline starts flying A380s to Hamburg, location of the aircraft type’s final assembly as well as origin of various work packages from Diehl.
Diehl Aviation, First Tier Supplier for aircraft cabin interiors and aircraft systems products, congratulates Emirates to today’s inaugural flight of A380 services between Dubai and Hamburg. Today, the airline has started to deploy the world’s largest airliner between its home base and the German destination, which is also the final assembly and delivery location for Emirates’ A380s, as well as Diehl facilities, which contribute A380 work packages.
The decision by Emirates to increase capacity without increasing frequency is underlining the A380’s capability to cater for increasing demand for air transport without increasing the number of flights.
Diehl is supplying various cabin interior and aircraft systems products for the A380. These cabin interior and aircraft systems products, as well as Diehl’s latest technology cabin lighting for instance, have gained industry-wide fame and are popular with passengers all over the world on Emirates’ A380s.
Diehl Aviation has supported the A380 programme since its launch in 2000 and entry-into-service in 2007. Beyond the design work for the initial work packages, Diehl has contributed further enhancements and will continue to do so in collaboration with the aircraft manufacturer, if and when the programme requires further support for consolidating its market position.
In addition to line-fit parts, delivered to the manufacturer’s final assembly line, Diehl is also offering cabin retrofit solutions to airlines who require an update in their cabin interior after several years’ of service.
