Master Thesis – Localization of Radio Transmitters – Wintersemester 2019/2020

Your contribution to our success:

  • Work interdisciplinary on system level in combination with software, antenna design and performance analysis on physical layers (link budget, SNR, RSSI).
  • Interest in analysis and modelling of radio communication technology on physical layer.
    Know-how / personal interest on technological approaches and algorithms for localization of radio transmitters (TDOA, AOA).
  • Implement algorithms in a programming language (e.g. Matlab) as a proof of concept.
  • Define simulation scenarios and experiments to test and validate your own approaches and algorithms.
  • Discuss intermediate results and closely coordinate your research with our experts from our different R&D disciplines.
  • Furthermore, a good documentation of your results and findings is part of your work.

Your contribution to our team:

  • You are an enrolled student looking for a master thesis in electrical engineering with specialization in radio communication.
  • You have experience in physical layer aspects of radio communication.
  • You have good programming skills in analysis tools such as MATLAB or Python.
  • You are an algorithmic thinker and have a hands on mentality to find unconventional solutions.
  • You are confident, proactive and enjoy working in an interdisciplinary team.
  • You characterize your work as solution-oriented, structured and flexible.
  • You have the ability to work independently and enjoy thinking outside the box.
  • You love to learn new things and combine different pieces of knowledge on a system level.
