ILA BERLIN 2018: Where the world meets the new Diehl Aviation brand
The largest airshow in Europe is the perfect stage for the re-branded company and its products
The aviation supplier Diehl presents itself for the first time at the ILA in Berlin to the general public under its new name, which was already introduced at the industry event Aircraft Interiors Expo in early April. Now, in Berlin, Diehl Aviation has its first opportunity to present itself and its products to the world at a public airshow. On its stand in Hall 2, the aerospace supplier will be showcasing exhibits from its aircraft cabins’ and aircraft systems’ areas. As well as the series applications, research and development projects will also be on display.
Diehl Aviation has introduced its new brand name as an expression of the comprehensive integration of this Division of the Diehl Group with three of its four downstream companies; as a Joint Venture with Thales, Diehl Aerospace will continue to operate under its existing name.
Among the innovation highlights being shown at the ILA, Diehl will be presenting a new concept in cabin layout for single aisle aircraft entry ways (project name SYLIVA) where visitors will be able to experience the flexibility of the design through virtual reality. In addition to this, on the German Federal Ministry of Economics stand, the company will be demonstrating a galley bar module, complete with fuel cell power supply. The innovativeness of Diehl is also on display at various conferences and panel discussions as part of the ILA Future Lab.
Furthermore, Diehl Aviation's military branch will also have a presence at the Military Support Center (MSC) and there will also be a Diehl stand in the ILA CareerCenter in Hall 1.
