From April 10, the aerospace supplier will be known as "Diehl Aviation"
The aerospace supplier Diehl is embarking on the next step of its journey this week: On the first day of the Aircraft Interiors Expo (AIX) in Hamburg, Tuesday, April 10, 2018, the company will begin trading under the name of Diehl Aviation.
This re-branding is an expression of the strength of integration at the aerospace supplier. As of next week, the Division – which has until now been known as the various Business Units of Diehl Aerospace, Diehl Aircabin, Diehl Comfort Modules, and Apparatebau Gauting – will be unified under this new, joint name with three of the four subsidiaries joining as well. As Diehl Aerospace is a Joint Venture with Thales, it will continue trading under its established name.
On a 405 m2 stand (in Hall B7, 7D20) at the AIX in Hamburg, Diehl will be exhibiting with its entirely new layout, offering even more exhibition space. It will house a 16-meter long cabin demonstrator with integrated cabin solutions and innovations. Diehl offers integrated solutions from one single source, meeting the demand for current trends in the aircraft cabin branch, as well as setting completely new standards for passenger comfort, reduced installation time in series production and retrofitting, and the economical operation of the aircraft.
Diehl Aviation is a Division of the Diehl Stiftung & Co. KG, and unites all of the aerospace activities of the Diehl Group under one roof. Within the aerospace industry, Diehl Aviation – including Diehl Aerospace (a Joint Venture with Thales) – is a leading systems suppliers for aircraft systems and cabin solutions. Currently, Diehl Aviation employs over 5,400 people. The company's customers include the leading aircraft manufacturers Airbus (both aircraft and helicopters), Boeing, Bombardier, and Embraer as well as airlines and operators of commercial and corporate jets.
