Diehl Metering completes its portfolio with the Echelon system solution for electricity - and now provides one-stop facilities for accurate reading of water, thermal energy, gas and electricity. This system solution based on the power line includes a range of meter variants as well as data loggers and an appropriate software application (NES) for operating the solution.
The Echelon electricity meters operate as single- or multi-tariff meters. The bidi-rectional communication between meters and data loggers enables the transmission of commands and a variety of features as well as the reception of data and alarms. Other meters can be connected to the Echelon meters over an M-Bus interface and a radio M-Bus receiver is available in addition to the wired connection.
Besides smart meters and the relevant infrastructure, Diehl Metering supplies intelligent communication solutions. For example, EVB’s Meterus middleware combines various meter infrastructures and provides the data and functions for different software. Existing gas or water meters can also be integrated. These don’t even have to be digital, as older meters can be incorporated over a radio interface to the Open Metering Standard or an M-Bus interface.
AQUARIUS is a domestic water meter designed for measuring consumption of cold or hot water in housing blocks. AQUARIUS is MID approved and meets the metrology standard OIML R49, EN14154 and ISO 4064. Magnetic transmission is used to insulate the register from the hydraulic part, and the register rotates to ensure easier index reading. AQUARIUS belongs to the Sappel modular range and may be fitted, even after it is installed, with an IZAR PULSE pulse emitter, an IZAR RADIO or an IZAR DOSING device.
AQUARIUS is a main meter designed for measuring cold water available in a range of standardised diameters and lengths. It has a MID approval (Measuring Instruments Directive) up to R 80 in horizontal position. Magnetic transmission ensures complete isolation of the register from the hydraulic system. The rotating register is fitted with the Sappel anti-mist system for optimum reading in all environments. Being modular, AQUARIUS can be fitted with IZAR RADIO reading system, IZAR DOSING device or an IZAR PULSE pulse emitter gateway to other systems.
AQUILA V4 is a bulk meter dedicated for network metering or for invoicing substantial quantities of cold water. It is characterised by its very high measuring dynamic, insensitivity to disturbance and easy maintenance. AQUILA V4 is modular and can be fitted with IZAR radio or the pulse emitter IZAR PULSE, gateway to other systems. Its modular rotating flanges make for easy installation on all types of piping, even when resizing is necessary. It has a CE certificate (MID) and complies with the EN 14154, OIML R49 and ISO 4054 standards in the horizontal position. However, its performance is largely superior to that required by the regulations, for high and low flow rates alike.
ALTAIR water meter is characterized by its versatility. Its large measuring chamber means that it can be used for submetering or as a main meter. Additionally, it is suitable for different types of water. ALTAIR is a modular meter and therefore can be fitted at any time with IZAR RADIO reading system, IZAR DOSING or the pulse emitter IZAR PULSE, gateway to other systems.
ALTAÏR CONCENTRIC is a volumetric water meter. Its metrology performance is the same as that of the ALTAÏR range of meters : high measuring dynamics, very low start flowrates, low head loss and strong resistance to overflowrates. ALTAÏR CONCENTRIC is compact. Its low profile means that it can be installed on a coaxial base in a concentric manifold. The ALTAÏR CONCENTRIC meter is modular and can be fitted at any time with IZAR RADIO reading system, IZAR DOSING device or an IZAR PULSE pulse emitter, gateway to other systems
ALTAIR V4 represents the new generation of volumetric meters developed within the framework of the MID (Measuring Instruments Directive) and field requirements. ALTAIR V4 is very compact, thus adapting to the most restrictive environments (i.e. water boxes). ALTAIR V4 is a robust meter that is compatible with the different qualities of water. ALTAIR V4 is modular and may be fitted at any time with the IZAR RADIO, the IZAR DOSING device, or the pulse emitter IZAR PULSE gateway to other systems.
