Drop-forged parts by Diehl Metall provide high strength, dimensional stability and surface quality. The core competence of Diehl Metall is the hot-forming and the machining of especially sophisticated and customized forgings (10g - 35kg).

The chipping effort can be evidently reduced, especially in the fields of drop-forged parts with cores (for example water meter housings), due to lower weight, shorter machining times and lower material scrap.

We develop customized product solutions already in the engineering process to realise quality, functionality and forging ability at costs as low as possible. In order to select the optimum material properties in a targeted way, we work in close collaboration with our customers concerning the material selection - always with regard to the final use of the component:

Production - performance at the highest level

Diehl Metall manufactures more than 10 million drop-forged parts per year. Drop-forged parts made of different prematerials can be produced with the latest construction and manufacturing methods. CNC-controlled machining centres with integrated measurement technology and an internal quality control are available. Diehl Metall offers an integrated production process – from the own production of prematerial to the finished drop-forged part.

Of course, a constant control with certified quality assurance methods is part of this.

Diehl Metall produces according to the high-quality standards of our customers – simple and unmachined as well as intricate and machined drop-forged parts. Besides serial production, Diehl Metall is also specialised in solving complicated tasks.

The brands CUPHIN and AQCUARIN represent hygienic drinking water applications. TEC.PURE and ECOBRASS are lead-free and wear resistant brass materials, that are applicable for the automotive and electronic industries. CUPHIN and AQCUARIN perfectly suit for drop-forged parts, because their high copper content can efficiently prevent the multiplication of bacteria. Thus, CUPHIN and AQCUARIN have an antibacterial effect. CUPHIN is a lead-free material and AQCUARIN a dezincification brass for drinking water applications. The alloy family TEC.PURE comprises innovative, lead-free and wear resistant brass materials. Diehl Metall offers, especially for needs of the automotive and electrical industries as well as for engineering, the lead-free high-tensile alloy ECOBRASS, which has no toxic additives.
