AQCUARIN – dezincification resistant brass of the new generation – especially for drinking water applications
This material offers all the advantages of dezincification resistant brasses, which are established in the market for many years. AQCUARIN represents excellent dezincification resistance, good workability and significantly reduced lead release to drinking water.
AQCUARIN was developed to meet the future requirements for drinking water applications as well as to keep the approved characteristics of the dezincification resistant brasses. The alloy is durable and does not wear off. AQCUARIN meets already today the more stringent limit values of the prospective drinking water regulations in 2013. Due to a well-functioning recycling system, AQCUARIN is completely recyclable.
Due to their corrosion resistance dezincification resistant brasses still enjoy great popularity in the sanitation industry. In the course of health care the limit values for drinking water contamination have been constantly reduced. Therefore Diehl Metall Messing developed a new brass alloy that is already accepted by the German Federal Environment Agency. DEZIRON was optimized regarding its dezincification resistance in order to meet the requirements of the market.
The alloy DEZIRON combines both, the proven properties of dezincification resistant brasses as well as the stricter requirements of the drinking water directive and DIN EN 15664.
ECOMERICA - low-leaded brass alloy for drinking water applications according to US-legislation
Drinking Water is essential for our daily life - the basis for our health. Therefore increasingly strict restrictions are set to materials getting in contact with drinking water in the whole world. In the USA the lead content of drinking water conducting components has to be lower than 0,25 % in the weighted average. This regulation is currently valid for the states of California and Vermont, from January 2014 for all US-states.
Due to their lead content of 0,2 % maximum brass alloys of the brand ECOMERICA for drinking water applications - tubes, fittings, valves and other drinking water conducting components - meet the US-regulations already today.
The alloy-family TEC.PURE comprises innovative, lead-free and wear resistant brass materials. These materials are especially used for components with high working temperature or at a lubrication system failure.
