The German Bundestag´s Defence Representative Hellmut Königshaus, accompagnied by Lothar Riebsamen, MdB, representative of the Bodensee electoral district, visited Diehl Defence in Überlingen.

Diehl board member Claus Günther offered the guests an overview of the high-tech capabilities of the Überlingen location. Both were impressed by the more than 50 year experience in developing and manufacturing modern guided missiles for the German Bundeswehr and allied armed forces.

The 90-minute company tour provided Königshaus and Riebsamen the opportunity for discussions with employees.

Moreover, the visitors´ interest focused on the employment situation in the defence industry as well as hiring skilled workers in view of the demographic development in Germany.
