Diehl Stiftung & Co. KG is a worldwide operating industrial group based in Nürnberg/Germany. A good 14,000 employees develop, manufacture and market Diehl products at over 80 locations in approx. 20 countries on four continents. The Diehl Group is divided into the corporate divisions Diehl Metall, Diehl Controls, Diehl Defence, Diehl Aerosystems and Diehl Metering, comprising forty subsidiaries and joint ventures. The company has been family-owned since its foundation in 1902.

Diehl Metall

Diehl Metall is one of the largest producers of semi-finished products, forgings and rolled products worldwide. Metal-plastic compound systems for electronic and electrotechnical applications are produced out of plated precision stamped parts. The 2.700 employees generate a turnover of 978 million Euro. Diehl Metall´s products are in demand with the traditional industries as well as with the customers who indulge in modern mega trends like health, water, green technologies, mobility and energy.

Diehl Controls

More than fifty years of experience in developing and manufacturing electronic and electromechanical products have made Diehl Controls one of the world’s most important manufacturers of energy-efficient control and regulating systems. A good 2,700 employees work in the factories in Wangen and Nuremberg, Germany, and in eight subsidiaries in the USA and in Mexico, China, Poland and Italy. The company focuses on three different fields: household appliances, photovoltaics and Smart Home.

Diehl Defence

For decades, national and multinational armed forces have relied on the competence of Diehl Defence. The corporate division employs more than 3,000 persons at 18 locations around the world. With its continuous research and development work as well as technically mature products and services, they provide optimum protection and security for the Bundeswehr and their international allies.

Diehl Aerosystems

Diehl Aersosystems is among the largest and worldwide most highly renowned manufacturers of cockpit and cabin equipment for commercial and military aircraft. At the company's twelve locations, about 3,000 employees provide the prerequisites for combining state-of-the-art technologies with customer-specific design as well as maximum comfort and safety for passengers and flight crew.

Diehl Metering

Always keep an eye on what is currently feasible and what will be possible in the future: with this maxim, Diehl Metering has achieved excellent results in the development and production of measuring instruments in the past decades. Nearly 2,000 employees at sixteen locations and agencies worldwide annually produce and sell more than 6.5 million measuring instruments as well as about 4.1 million radio modules. This makes the Ansbach-based company one of the world's largest manufacturers in this field.

Nürnberg/Ansbach. – In early 2013, the "Diehl Ausbildungs- und Qualifizierungs-GmbH" (Training and Qualification Company) concluded a cooperation agreement with the "Johann Steingruber Realschule" in Ansbach within the context of the "Come with me" project of the Educational Institute of the Bavarian Industry.

Within this cooperation, pupils from grade 7 will be provided with first-hand information on training in the Metal and Electrical Industry and a hands-on introduction to the respective training occupations. In joint projects with Diehl apprentices, they will gain realistic insight into on-the-job processes and training occupations. The pupils will be instructed by apprentices who present their training occupation and Diehl as a training company. In addition, Diehl Training will support the pupils in their occupational choice by means of a mini-practicum, intensive preparation for making the right choice as well as specific applicant training. Dates for initial joint projects in spring have already been agreed.
The objective is to counter the looming skilled labor shortage resulting from the demographic development. Despite the decreasing number of applicants, it is a matter of great importance to Diehl Training to win as many young people as possible over to training at Diehl in the future as well, making sure there will be enough applicants for industrial apprenticeship training positions.
