Diehl BGT Defence offers various smoke agents for the protection of persons, vehicles and ships. The Floating Smoke Pot, developed for the U.S. Marine Corps, is used particularly in amphibious warfare or in operations at sea or in lakes and rivers. The smoke ejected provides effective cover for land assault forces such as paratroopers, however, also special operations units and marines in all spectral ranges. The pot contains a smoke charge which is effective for up to 20 minutes after its ignition in all weather conditions. It can be used by day and night. The chemicals used are harmless for human beings and the environment.
The Floating Smoke Pot provides cover in the near, middle and far IR regions as well as in the visual range, thus improving the operational capability of armed forces considerably.
Diehl Defence possesses many years of experience in designing smoke agents. The substances, used in the development and production of smoke agents, are harmless for human beings and the environment. Diehl Defence´s smoke agents are NATO-qualified.
The Floating Smoke Pot is in service with the U.S. Marine Corps.
