Diehl BGT Defence - a bicycle-friendly company

Diehl BGT Defence at the Diehl-site Ueberlingen was awarded a certificate as a “bicycle-friendly company” by the Federal Association “Allgemeiner Deutscher Fahrrad-Club” (AFDC).
Helmut Rauch, Managing Director at Diehl BGT Defence, received the award from Bernhard Glatthaar, Chairman of the AFDC Bodensee County, on April 25, 2012.

Diehl BGT Defence is the ninth company in Baden-Württemberg and the second in the Bodensee county to be awarded the certificate.

The prerequisites for the certificate were fulfilled with modern bicycle facilities as well as measures fostering the motivation of active bikers.

Everyone who rides his or her bike from home to work for at least 20 days between April and June 2012, participates in a draw with attractive present vouchers. Moreover, every participant can obtain individual advice for the ride from home to work.     

The Bicycle Safety Day on April 25, 2012, provided additional offers for the employees: A free bicycle safety check by a mechanic as well as attaching a certified policy code to the bicycle by the AFDC Bodensee County. The code permits the bike´s unequivocal identification, so it can be directly attributed to the owner in case of loss or theft.  

Having received the award as a bicycle-friendly company, provides an additional impulse for the multitude of health and fitness sports activities enjoying great popularity among the employees at the Diehl site Ueberlingen.
