Diehl Aerosystems, a leading partner for aircraft cabin design and integration as well as first tier supplier for avionic solutions, is coming to the annual Aircraft Interiors Expo with an extended stand, dubbed “cabin and beyond”. The annual lead event for cabin interiors of passenger aircraft takes place in Hamburg, Germany. This year the expo opens its doors from March 27-29.
The Highlight on the stand (hall 7, 7G30) is a “Big Picture” cabin mock up, which – compared to last year – has been extended by two sections in order to incorporate the enhanced cabin portfolio of Diehl Aerosystems. In addition to lighting and lining products, galleys and lavatories as well as a crew rest compartment are displayed on more than 40 square meters.
Some technological innovations, which are displayed in the dedicated “innovation area”, offer a view into the future. Six entries for this year’s “Crystal Cabin Award” competition come from Diehl. Three out of these six are participating as finalists in the categories “Visionary Concepts”, “Greener Cabin, Health and Safety” and “Material and Components” (cf. www.crystal-cabin-award.com).
With its products Diehl Aerosystems is a reliable partner not only for original equipment manufacturers in the line-fit business but also in the market segment of retrofits, which is becoming increasingly important. Diehl Aerosystems has complete kits for retrofit on offer, but can also compile flexible and individual product solutions from a single source. Particularly operators at the premium end of the airline market and business aviation require retrofit solutions for an up-to-date aircraft cabin interior.
Airlines receive support for their operations with Diehl products via the worldwide network of customer support centers, which are central contacts for all matters regarding the support for Aerosystems products.
Diehl Aerosystems is a corporate division of Diehl Stiftung & Co. KG and covers all aerospace activities of the Diehl-Group. With its operational units Diehl Aerospace and Diehl Aircabin, both joint ventures with Thales, as well as Diehl Service Modules and Diehl Comfort Modules, Diehl Aerosystems is a leading systems supplier for avionics and cabin solutions. The corporate division currently has more than 3,000 employees. Amongst its customers are leading aircraft manufacturers (OEMs), such as Airbus, Boeing, Eurocopter and Embraer.
