The Hamburg metropolitan area is one of the most important locations for the commercial aviation industry worldwide. In addition to various aviation and aerospace conventions the world’s leading exhibition for aircraft interior equipment the Aircraft Interiors Expo is held in Hamburg annually.
In this environment of aviation activities, Diehl Comfort Modules (DCM) was founded in 1991 under the name Dasell Cabin Interior. Since then, the DCM has developed into one of the world’s most important manufacturers of washrooms for aircraft systems. Initially a joint venture between Sell GmbH and Airbus Deutschland, the name Diehl Comfort Modules today designates a business unit of Diehl Aerosystems. Following a takeover by the Diehl Group in 2010, the successful DASELL company was incorporated as another business unit bearing the name Diehl Comfort Modules. Besides its core business as a cabin outfitter, Diehl Comfort Modules also supplies the entire Airbus family of aircraft with on-board toilets. As a manufacturing and maintenance facility Diehl Comfort Module is a certified partner for OEMs and airlines.
