What We Stand For

With our portfolio spanning all industries, our technological know-how and our international production network, we are embracing the challenges and trends of the future. Recyclable alloys with a closed metal cycle and innovative composite materials from Diehl Metall contribute to the quality and reliability of innumerable everyday products.

Our Technologies and Products

In our business field of extruded and drawn products we have been manufacturing sophisticated and high-quality rods, tubes and profiles for decades. Products made from more than 50 copper alloys are currently being produced for national and international customers in the automotive and mechanical engineering industry, in the electronics sector as well as in the heating and sanitation industry. New alloys for special applications are increasingly called for.

The business field of forgings stands for sophisticated die-forged parts and is also market leader for high-performance synchronizer rings made of brass and steel for the automotive industry. In combination with a large selection of innovative friction layers – such as carbon – our synchronizer rings optimize the friction and abrasive properties of the transmission parts responsible for driving dynamics.

The business field of Diehl Metal Applications develops and produces application-specific current-carrying components primarily for the automotive and electronics industry. All major stages of the value-adding chain – from the production of semi-finished products, stamping/metal-forming technology and plating to the generation of integrated products in the injection-molding process – are united under one roof, allowing us to provide our customers with comprehensive services from a single source.

Your New Employer in Facts and Figures

  • Our workforce has produced over a billion synchronizer rings since the 1950s. If all rings were put in a line, that  lline would go round the globe more than twice.

  • Our Corporate Division is investing 450,000 € each year in employee training measures.
  • About 45% of the employees at our parent plant in Röthenbach have been working there for over 25 years.

  • In the area of extruded and drawn products the annual production of rods, tubes and profiles is enough to bridge the distance between the Earth and the Moon.

  • In 2014  2 billion pieces of contact parts with “Schempp+Decker press-fit zones” were produced for the first time.
